The two-bit wannabe dictator currently squatting in the White House has capped his Caribbean murder campaign, having used U.S. military assets since September to kill about 115 people in small boats without a shred of legal justification, by invading Venezuela and kidnapping its leader and his wife. If you are in any doubt as to whether this constitutes an act of war, as opposed to the limited law enforcement operation our pathologically mendacious administration will try to pretend it is, imagine this: what would the U.S. reaction be if Venezuela were to have sent commandos to Washington D.C. and kidnapped Donald and Melania to face charges of murder for the 115 victims he bombed and drowned?
We do have this thing called a Constitution, which says that the President can't do this stuff without authorization from Congress, and that the President can be impeached and removed from office for doing so anyway. Sadly, one thing the framers of the Constitution failed to envision was a situation in which Congress, having been disregarded, would simply fail to function. We've had ample evidence to indicate that we're in just such a situation now. I hope to be proven wrong about this.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: Doubtless there will be various organized protests, etc. I think that in this situation the most important thing is to write to your Senators and Representatives in Washington, D.C. as soon as possible, telling them in your own words why it is important for them to do their jobs and rid us of this lawless, murderous regime. Even if it does not bear immediate results, it will help establish an atmosphere in which the key question as to impeachment and removal from office is not "whether" but "when".
