Elon Musk left his quasi-semi-official position in government yesterday, to plaudits from the man who pretended to be his boss, who called Musk "terrific" and said "he will aways be with us" in one way or another keeping his oar in. Internationally, Musk's destruction of the United States Agency for International Dewvelopment, slashing about 80% of its grants, is killing about 103 people an hour, most of them children. The total so far is about 300,000 people, according to Boston University infectious disease mathematical modeler Dr. Brooke Nichols. Ryan Cooper of The American Prospect reported [on May 30, 2025] that 1,500 babies a day are born HIV-positive because Musk's cuts stopped their mothers' medication.
